This Crazy Life

I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted! Life has been a little hectic to say the least since my last post. Our trip to Texas turned out a bit more relaxing than we had expected which was kind of nice (most of the time we are shuffling place to place and never have enough time to just relax). My brother and his wife had to leave out of town for a funeral all week, but we did manage to squeeze dinner in with them one time. Mel and her kiddos (AJ and Drew) left at the end of the week to go to a state swim meet for AJ. Dad had to leave town and then was unable to come back for the last weekend. The good part is we did get to just relax and spend some quality time with Mom and a ton of time with Marcie. Colby got to see his cousins lots and that was great. Sweet Drew was so patient with him and played along with him several days. AJ is pre-teen and a turning into a little lady!! It is incredible how much they have changed since Thanksgiving. After we got back, the week was a little crazy...you know how it goes...getting back into the routine and doing piles of laundry. The Wed. after we got back, I got a phone call saying Dad needed somewhat emergency surgery. The surgery was last Friday and it turned out to be a lot more complicated than the surgeon anticipated, leaving him with a two gigantic incisions and a 5 day hospital stay. But he is home now staying with Mel ,and we are counting our blessings despite the complications. Amid some other struggles we have had a crazy month the say the least! So for the next several posts there will be some fun pictures from Texas!

  1. I know how you feel. I'm feeling overwhelmed with school starting but also relieved that someone else will be entertaining them.

  2. Hey girl! I'm so sorry to hear about your dad! I'm glad he is home now getting some TLC. How's everything else? If you need a girls day out you know who to call! :)
