The Calm Before the Storm?

Ha. Before Kellan was born it seemed like we never stopped moving. I remeber thinking - let's just make it through this or that - or finish this project or start that one. It was crazy. And just before he was born - I remember saying several times...I just needed to finish things up so I could have a week or two to rest before he was born. Ha. It seems like even this post is giving me some trouble. I don't have time or energy to fix it either...so you'll have to bear with the few sideways pictures.
In the month of June we did have a great time even though we were running around like chickens with our heads cut off. We got to do some pretty fun things - and I am glad...bc now we are stuck at home...so for us the saying should be the "storm before the calm...."
At the beginning of June Intel paid for all of us to go to Schlitterbaun (The world's biggest water park). What a treat. Both boys had a blast. I took our old camera in hopes to get a few pictures, but we were having too much fun, and the camera stopped working about 10 pictures in.
The boys waiting for one of the rides. It was a fun lazy - but bumpy river ride, and I was impressed Brody stayed in his tube. Matt lost his Oakley sunglasses on this ride! Uggh - poor daddy the water always seems to take his nice sunglasses.
I didn't know how long I was going to last here, but despite the weather being pretty miserable at 100 degrees that day, we were nice and cool staying wet all day, and we stayed at the park from about 10am until after 6:00pm.
The following week Matt's parents came in town after we begged them to come before we had baby. Little did we know just a week later he would be born. Colby and Brody got these gigantic teddy bears from Costco. They were so much fun - and bigger than ever once we got them home - we had to take a family picture.

We did lots of fun things with Mimi and Papa - ate out dinner at lots of fun places - went to the movies - got toy prizes at the toy store across from the movie theater - played at the pool - and even went to Sea World San Antonio one day.

Mimi and Papa babysat the boys one night, played games with them, and took them to one of Colby's favorite hamburger places - Mighty Fine. Matt and I got a much needed date night, our last - probably for a long while.
We had a great time at Sea World - but almost melted! It was a very hot and sticky 104 degrees that day! Uggh. I started off in normal clothes but a few hours after we got there I changed into my swim clothes - to hike my big belly around the park!
We got to feed the dolphins. Colby was quite fearful of falling in the water, but managed to get a few touches. Brody on the other hand was fearless on that wall - and even picked up one of the fish to feed to the dolphin. Colby was not afraid of the big rides. He rode one of the big water roller coasters with Matt and had a great time!
Colby and Brody both really loved the water park. Let's face it - we all did since it was so hot - that water was cold and it felt fantastic. There was a nice shady chair that I parked in for a good while and just watched them play. We were having so much fun - we didn't take many pictures - but the boys favorite show was an acrobatic dolphin and beluga whale show.
Sunday on Father's day we gave Matt his presents and had a good lazy Sunday with Matt's parents before they headed back to AZ that evening.
Mike and Matt took a few pictures of everyone.

Just a few days after Mike and Taya left - my dad came into town to help with the baby room and the rest of June - well - it's history I've already shared....
