We have finally found something Brody will eat! Gerber puffs. They have absolutely no nutritional value. It's like eating air. Seriously, like 1g sugar, and 25 calories for 73 puffs!!! So far he won't eat rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, carrots, cereal with sugar added, apples, peaches, or apple oatmeal...only these puffs, which he will now scream for! Colby likes to feed them to him, and has quickly learned Brody will choke if he tries to put too many in his mouth.
A Simple Prayer
Okay, so I promise I will get some more pictures on here soon, but I have to write about Colby today. After basketball practice tonight we were walking out to the car and Colby made us laugh as usual. I asked him if he had fun and he said "yeah." Then he said, " I said a prayer." I said, "what?" He said, "yeah, I prayed to the Lord and asked him to help me make more shoots." Well, at least he knows he can ask God for anything he needs. It's these moments that make all the craziness worth while!
Colby's Field Trip To The Doughnut Peddler
Who else could look that cute in a hairnet? Colby went to the Doughnut Peddler shop for his preschool field trip. He had so much fun. They got to see 55,000 doughnuts in production!!! It was loads of fun, and even though I am not a big doughnut fan, I have to admit eating a hot doughnut off the production line was pretty yummy!
Cutie-Pa-Tootie!!
Who doesn't love a naked baby? Mama, he loves the pirate toys for the bath that you gave him at Christmas time. Whoa look at that flexibility...I love it when he eats his toes. He loves to be naked...never fails when we try to get him dressed he cries every time. One day Matt and I will get some air time on here. Indulge me while I flaunt their cuteness!
Cousins
This was such a fun week. We had a special family home evening for Gram GG to honor her, and Courtney & Jon were in town. I know it was really special for Gram. We each told her our favorite memory and gave her a flower. Colby had so much fun playing with Bentley
& Gracie and of course Madisen, Andrew, and Emalie. I think we did pretty good getting this picture. Some of the others were pretty funny!

Ta-Da Freedom!
Blank Canvas
I know it looks barren, but actually, believe it or not, this is a giant
improvement! The yard was filled with overgrown bamboo, half dead plants,
improvement! The yard was filled with overgrown bamboo, half dead plants,
really dead plants, and was just in terrible shape! You can see in the dirt impressions from the old gigantic planter boxes. They were like giant pyramids probably 8ft by 8ft or longer, and there were three of them. Also missing are tons of over-grown bushes that were never cared for. So this is our clean slate! We have
already had a lot of work done and next time you see a picture it will be much

Snow, Snow, Snow!
Look at all the snow! We had so much fun getting away again to the cabin with our friends the MacGillivrays! It had snowed the weekend before we went and a tiny bit during the week, but all this snow was left over from the week before! Our favorite place to sled, the rock pit, was closed, but we had fun just sledding in the yard of the cabin. Colby was a bit of a turkey this weekend, but we made the best of it. Aren't the MacGillivray's adorable? All of them are so cute, and they are the most photogenic family I know! Bryn is one of my bestest friends here in AZ. Her oldest, Dax, is such a sweet boy. Colby loves him like a brother, at least they fight like brothers sometimes :) One afternoon I think they spent an hour digging all the snow off the bricks in the back of the cabin with sand shovels! Brody and Bryn's little guy Wyatt were not as thrilled about the snow. By the time we got them dressed it was time to change diapers and take naps!
I love these boys!
Up At The Cabin With Dad
Peek-A-Boo
Look at those cheeks! Not you dad :)
Weeeeee! Much better with the wood seat Uncle Dave!
We really got to relax this weekend, at the end of January, with Dad at the cabin! Brody was teething like a mad man. The day dad left he cut his first tooth! Sometimes it is nice to go up there because it forces me to slow down. Colby had so much fun walking out back with grandpa to go look at the zip line that Uncle Dave rigged. He collected some lamb's ear and a rock with lichen on it for show and tell at pre-school.
Da Boys
I had so much fun taking pictures of the boys today! They were both cooperating and Colby was just loving on Brody.
Dad's Birthday
Dad was here for his birthday this year. We had a special dinner. Steaks and Asparagus, and Colby helped me make a surprise (ha) coconut cake for Grandpa! We hid it in the pantry and then Colby said to Granpa..."We made you a surprise coconut cake and hid it in the pantry." We had fun celebrating dad's 26th birthday this year! And that was no typo, right Dad?!!
My First Cereal
"Are you kidding me?"
Brody totally hates cereal, or should I say all baby food. Persistence is not working. We have been re-trying every few days since mid January to no avail. He looks at the spoon and starts to turn his head away before we even get to his mouth. One day last week I did manage to get a few bites in that didn't come right back out. It did take and incredible amount of song and danc to get that done, so I have given up for now...he will eventually decide there is more to the taste than incredibly expensive formula!
Rewind
Rewind to January! Happy New Year. Brody is almost 5 months old in this picture! Don't you just want to pinch those chubby cheeks! For the next couple of posts...I will be back-tracking so you guys can see some of the fun stuff we have been doing!
Here's To Trying Something New
So I must admit this is all new to me! Hopefully you will enjoy reading my posts and seeing the pictures! So here it is the best picture we have had as a family since Christmas. Sad, I know...Brody isn't even looking, but to have Colby looking and smiling at the Camera without making a funny face or looking a the ceiling is pretty amazing! So welcome to my blog! Visit Often and keep in touch!
